Beth has been a REALTOR® for two years and has lived in northern Virginia for 14 years. By profession she is a librarian (MSLS), but has had a variety of roles in higher education and non-profits. As Director of the Language Resource Center at the University of Tennessee she facilitated digital projects that made it one of the first all-digital language labs in the U.S. She taught Italian as part of that role and did faculty development to integrate information technologies in foreign language education. She brought her experience in faculty development and program management to her position at George Mason University as the Director of the Technology Across the Curriculum Program. Her broad experience helped her develop a wide range of IT skills including web development, data management, and cloud services integration that she put to the service of the Association of Research Libraries as Program Officer for IT Services. Beth also did graduate work in International Affairs while employed for many years at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy.

Beth is fluent in Italian having lived in Bologna for over 10 years. She majored in French and minored in German and over the years has added Spanish and Portuguese with varying degrees of fluency.

Beth is a lifetime member of the Foundation of the State Arboretum of Virginia at Blandy Experimental Farm (University of Virginia) where she volunteered for several years. Any time she has the opportunity she loves driving and walking in the country and trying to keep up with all the new craft breweries that open.
